Easter Lunch!



Set the alarm for 0600, slept a little more but opps! Its 0730! There's so much things to do!


Menu for the day:

1. Roasted pig (suckling pig). It is usually lamb but this time we chose this. 9kg "piglet" that we have to prepare for roasting. Seems that 1400PM lunch may seem to delay....

2. Kokoritsi - innards and intestine of the lamb

3. Makaronia tou fournou - Cypriot oven of pastitsio; baked macaroni with minced meat, tomato and bechamel sauce.

4. Grilled sausages - garlic and sheftalia

5. Greek Salad




Guests started to arrive at 12 noon. Everything was grilling then. Started lunch around 1:30PM with makaronia, salad, grilled sausages with pita bread. Kokoritsi came afterwards and finally the roasted pig mid afternoon. Everyone was having fun. And another round of egg tapping!


Then of the course the "holy water" - Zivania - a Cypriot traditional alcoholic drink from distilled grapes.
